AFTERCARE: DERMAL FILLER & SKIN BOOSTERS

Following proper aftercare ensures the best results and minimises side effects.


General Do’s

  1. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to enhance hydration and maximise results, especially for skin boosters.

  2. Apply a Cold Compress: Use a clean, cool compress to reduce swelling or bruising, if needed.

  3. Gentle Cleaning: Wash your face gently with mild cleansers and lukewarm water.

  4. Avoid Direct Sunlight: Protect treated areas from excessive sun exposure and use SPF 30+ daily.


General Don’ts

  1. No Rubbing or Pressure: Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging treated areas for at least 24-48 hours.

  2. Avoid Extreme Heat: Skip saunas, hot baths, or steam rooms for 48 hours.

  3. No Strenuous Exercise: Refrain from intense workouts for 24-48 hours to minimise swelling and bruising.

  4. Skip Alcohol: Avoid alcohol for 24 hours to reduce the risk of swelling or bruising.


Additional Care for Skin Boosters

  • Avoid Makeup: Hold off on applying makeup for at least 24 hours to prevent irritation.

  • Moisturise: Use hydrating serums or moisturisers as recommended by your provider to enhance hydration benefits.


Additional Care for Dermal Fillers

  • Sleep Elevated: Sleep with your head elevated to minimise swelling.

  • Monitor Lumps: Mild lumps or unevenness may resolve naturally within a week, but contact your provider if they persist.
